Graphene research and technology FAQ

Graphene research and technology FAQ

The silicon, plastic, and glass that make up much of our tech these days could soon be replaced with something old, yet completely new: Graphene.
If graphene sounds like something that could fell a superhero, you're almost right. It’s the thinnest substance known to science, yet it’s 300 times stronger than steel and harder than a diamond. High-quality graphene is also transparent and flexible, and it’s an excellent conductor of heat and electricity.

Does Evolution Have a Gun to Our Head to Eat Animals?

Does Evolution Have a Gun to Our Head to Eat Animals?

Humans have to evolve from being one of the animal species on planer earth to something higher.

Do not have any doubts evolve they will.

Any appeal to nature and evolution is thus ultimately faulty because morally it is just not the right way of thinking on the matter. Regardless of nature and our own barbaric history, civilization is meant to take us out of the realm of “survival of the fittest” and “might makes right” mentalities and to evolve beyond them. Morally speaking, it is time to evolve beyond thinking that our base evolutionary desire gives us the right to exploit, enslave, torture, or kill others. It does not. It is a prejudice.” - See more at: http://freefromharm.org/animal-products-and-ethics/evolution-gun-head-eat-animals/?utm_source=feedburner&utm_medium=email&utm_campaign=Feed%3A+FreeFromHarm+%28Free+from+Harm%29#sthash.WCrYlRp5.dpuf

Virtual reality and the future of sex | ExtremeTech

Virtual sex and designer babies is a good combination.

The maturation of virtual sex will probably have a bigger impact than, say, the creation of the Fleshlight — but I don’t think we need to worry about some kind of dystopic future where humans spend their entire existence hooked up to a machine that interfaces with the internet, while at the same time satisfying our every physical desire with a variety of tools and instruments.

At least not yet, anyway. Once we learn how to interact directly with the brain — once we learn how to trigger the exact neural pathways to make someone feel like they’re experiencing real human interactions and emotions — then such a dystopian future will be very likely indeed.

Is War Simply A Game Of Unevolved Primate’s? Can Humanity Leave It Behind? | Collective-Evolution

War/Violence is committed by animals .Humans have to evolve beyond animals.

The point I’m getting at here is the sheer fact that aliens might be entirely beyond the concept of war and fighting. To assume they would invade us or start a war is just foolish. They probably don’t even need raw resources to survive because that, too, is primitive. An alien civilization’s otherworldly advances could be far more complex than we could currently understand as humans.
