The 5 Biggest Reasons the Wrong People Get Hired | LinkedIn

The 5 Biggest Reasons the Wrong People Get Hired | LinkedIn

Only solution is that focus of Hiring Manager has to be 100% on work to be done. Then he/she  has to judge who is the candidate who can get the work done and not the candidate who can get the job.Because after getting the job he/she has to get the work done , so focus totally on candidates who can get the work done.

Very often these days the selection of candidates in a commercial enterprise gets influenced by the process of selection of politicians in elections.Identity politics can  work in politics where you are selecting a politician , because his/her  selection depends on whims and fancies of all the eligible voters. And he/she has more scope to survive any mistakes committed as  running a country is totally different ball game then running a commercial enterprise in a competitive market.

But identity politics will never work in a commercial enterprise and if it is one of the criteria for selection of candidates then that company is doomed .

How Wal-Mart and Google could steal young customers from traditional banks

How Wal-Mart and Google could steal young customers from traditional banks

Banks gets deposits from customers primarily for Saving accounts and FD's ,where they pay customers a guaranteed Interest rates.

In turn banks are investing money in stock markets or Gold or property where they hope to get higher returns or lend to Industry where also they hope to get higher returns.

If these competitors can offer interest rates like banks then the banks are doomed because these competitors have the customer base and the technology only thing they are lacking are  the skills to borrow money at lower interest rates and invest them properly so as to get higher interest rate in return on their investments.

Till these competitors do not learn this crucial skill , they will not be able to compete with the traditional banks.

I think time for mandatory 100% compulsory voting has come.

We got to use the technology to implement it.Two things are needed for it:

1.A foolproof Bio metric/DNA  identity proof for all citizens in a country.

2. An eligible  voter should be able to vote from anywhere in the world .

Both these things will become  technologically possible in  future and we should see 100% participation of eligible voters where they can either vote for any candidate contesting or they can give a no vote as they do not want to vote for any of the candidates contesting but vote they must.

And law of the land should be suitable modified so that suitable penal action to be taken against a voter for not voting in a election.

Mantra for getting Senior level Job positions in any organisation

Hi, Being a Career manager all my life .My experience says that all solutions being suggested by consultants , HR managers and experts are for the people seeking jobs at Junior/Middle level positions or at Initial entry level positions.
For senior level career positions only two things are going to work:
1.Networking , Networking and more Networking through all medias of Networking like social media , conferences , seminars, social gatherings , private meetings etc. at appropriate level in the organisations , where the power of decision making is located.
2.Positive Word of mouth about you by the people who have either worked or interacted with you to the appropriate level in the organisation , where the power of decision making is located.
Well nothing else is going to work , so what a person has to understand is that apart from his/her individual qualifications, knowledge, skills ,hard work and experience he/she got to have a social ecosystem of connected dots working for him if he/she has to have a crack at a top level position in any organisation.
Without the backing of this social ecosystem of connected dots it will be an uphill task to break the glass ceiling.

Small Pieces of Paper Required For Necessities? Can’t The Human Race Do Better Than This? | Collective-Evolution

What we spend on war in a few days could feed the entire planet for one year. We have more than enough means and necessities to provide everybody on the planet with clean water, food and shelter. So ask yourself, why don’t we? Who is thriving off of keeping so many people in such a harsh environment, especially when we have the means to make things better?
What is money? It’s tiny pieces of paper and digits on a computer that we believe is needed to survive, to live comfortably and more. We give so much power to it without recognizing that the power lies within us.  So, again, why is the medium for accessing the world’s “resources” this little piece of paper? Why can’t everyone have free access to human necessities? Food, shelter and water, especially when it is clear that we have the means to do so?

I think the Longevity of a species should define its success on planer earth. Humans live for approx. 80-100 years on average , all species living longer then that are a better success story then us.

Although we like to think humans are greatest species on earth, The President gives us a stoic reality check by dwarfing these scientists with his enormous trunk. In his 3200 years, he has seen a hundred generations of humans come and go. He has weathered thousands of storms, fires, harsh winters, earthquakes, and even climate change - but is growing even faster than ever before.

Now let us fight to fulfill that promise! Let us fight to free the world! To do away with national barriers! To do away with greed, with hate and intolerance! I think time has come for Indians to go for the kill.

This is a life time opportunity to take countries per Ca-pita GDP to be at least at par with China.

My firm believe is  that a democratic peoples representative setup is the best model for a any business to grow.So India long term is a better bet then China any day.

Hence if Indian leadership show the guts of a Lion we should be ahead of China in per capita GDP classification sometime in future.

Catching with China means growth of GDP by at least 4 times. Just imagine overall stock market valuation .As safe territory for stock market valuation  is anything from 80-100% of the countries GDP.

Hence show the guts of a Lion and grow the countries GDP and stock market valuation in leaps and bounds.

Rakesh also added that India has got great scope to grow. Indian people have great skills, only what you needed is confidence and the ability of decision making and process simplification. He pointed out that foreigners (FIIs) had great confidence in India and that is why they were pumping in billions of dollars into Indian equities. He advised Indian retail investors to show the same confidence in their own Country.
Believe in India and invest in India” the Oracle of Mumbai said with a gentle smile on his face.

Rent or Buy? The Math Is Changing - NYTimes.com

I think future is going to be get everything on rental basis , as rent prices are going to get down. There is no need to buy a capital asset whose value is not going to appreciate in future when it is easily available on affordable rental basis.

Hence  put all excess money available in either stock market or into fixed deposits. And do not buy ant capital assets whose value is not going to appreciate in future.Do the calculation what is the cheaper option to get on rent or buy outright.

If you want to build your asset base build it on stock marked or FD's .I do not think any other asset base has any meaning unless and until it is appreciating at a rate higher then stock market or rents are not low enough for it to become cheaper on rental basis.

World's Smallest And Fastest Nanomotor Built By University of Texas Engineers Runs The Longest | CrazyEngineers

Quantum/Nano Technology is the only way forward and only science, engineering and technology can get us there.

Human Evolution /Evolution is the name of the game. And we know now for sure that our future evolution is 100% in our hands.

For billions of years, simple creatures like plankton, bacteria, and algae ruled the earth. Then, suddenly, life got very complicated. Recent discoveries from Canada's Burgess Shale Deposits, Greenland, China, Siberia, and Namibia document clearly that a period of biological creativity known as the Cambrian Explosion occurred in a "geological instant" over 500 million years ago virtually all around the globe -an explosion of life that continues to puzzle evolutionists.

During the Cambrian explosion animals as diverse as arthropods, molluscs, jellyfish, and primitive vertebrates all appear within a time span of only 5-10 million years with no ancestors and no intermediates.
Recent discoveries have narrowed the time frame from over 70 million years to less than 10 million years. The same basic body plans that arose in the Cambrian remain surprisingly constant ever since. Apparently, the most significant biological changes in the history of the earth occurred in less than ten million years, and for 500 million years afterward, this level of change never happened again.
Harvard's Stephen Jay Gould once said, "Fast is now a lot faster than we thought, and that is extraordinarily interesting."
Fast forward to the present: although It has taken homo sapiens several million years to evolve from the apes, the useful information in our DNA, has probably changed by only a few million bits. So the rate of biological evolution in humans, Stephen Hawking points out in his Life in the Universe lecture, is about a bit a year.
"By contrast," Hawking says, "there are about 50,000 new books published in the English language each year, containing of the order of a hundred billion bits of information. Of course, the great majority of this information is garbage, and no use to any form of life. But, even so, the rate at which useful information can be added is millions, if not billions, higher than with DNA."
This means Hawking says that we have entered a new phase of evolution. "At first, evolution proceeded by natural selection, from random mutations. This Darwinian phase, lasted about three and a half billion years, and produced us, beings who developed language, to exchange information."
But what distinguishes us from our cave man ancestors is the knowledge that we have accumulated over the last ten thousand years, and particularly, Hawking points out, over the last three hundred.
"I think it is legitimate to take a broader view, and include externally transmitted information, as well as DNA, in the evolution of the human race," Hawking said.
In the last ten thousand years the human species has been in what Hawking calls, "an external transmission phase," where the internal record of information, handed down to succeeding generations in DNA, has not changed significantly. "But the external record, in books, and other long lasting forms of storage," Hawking says, "has grown enormously. Some people would use the term, evolution, only for the internally transmitted genetic material, and would object to it being applied to information handed down externally. But I think that is too narrow a view. We are more than just our genes."
The time scale for evolution, in the external transmission period, has collapsed to about 50 years, or less.
Meanwhile, Hawking observes, our human brains "with which we process this information have evolved only on the Darwinian time scale, of hundreds of thousands of years. This is beginning to cause problems. In the 18th century, there was said to be a man who had read every book written. But nowadays, if you read one book a day, it would take you about 15,000 years to read through the books in a national Library. By which time, many more books would have been written."
But we are now entering a new phase, of what Hawking calls "self designed evolution," in which we will be able to change and improve our DNA. "At first," he continues "these changes will be confined to the repair of genetic defects, like cystic fibrosis, and muscular dystrophy. These are controlled by single genes, and so are fairly easy to identify, and correct. Other qualities, such as intelligence, are probably controlled by a large number of genes. It will be much more difficult to find them, and work out the relations between them. Nevertheless, I am sure that during the next century, people will discover how to modify both intelligence, and instincts like aggression."
If the human race manages to redesign itself, to reduce or eliminate the risk of self-destruction, we will probably reach out to the stars and colonize other planets. But this will be done, Hawking believes, with intelligent machines based on mechanical and electronic components, rather than macromolecules, which could eventually replace DNA based life, just as DNA may have replaced an earlier form of life.

What You Are Not Being Told About The Secret & Law Of Attraction | Collective-Evolution

What You Are Not Being Told About The Secret & Law Of Attraction | Collective-Evolution

Very Interesting.

Job Creation / Wealth Creation

In the modern 21 st century economy of the world only two things are going to influence people.Everything else is out.

It is Job creation and Wealth creation for the society. These are the two factors which which will decide the social, political and economic health of a country.

Basically it will be interaction between Business/Money and Politics/Power.

Business generates money and Politics generates power and it is going to be game of money and power only no other factor is going to count for much.

We already know that we have genius businessman who can generate wealth out of thin air through their hard work , brilliance and innovation.

Now we are looking for genius politicians who are going to generate jobs for the society out of thin air the way business people generates wealth.

Politicians will have to learn , cooperate and work as hard as business people so as to generate jobs for the society which will ensure minimum globally acceptable standard of living and which are based on competitive profit generating business either in private sector or in public sector.

So that you do not have to give out any subsidy /  doles to people .Best way forward is that everything should be sold out at a value determined by the market .Government responsibility is to get into partnerships with both private and public sector and slog as hard ( in fact harder)  as the business people do so as to to ensure job creation for the society which ensures that people have money to buy all the essential goods and services needed by them at its market value only.

And if 100 % of the population is gainfully employed you do not have to worry about GDP growth , it will be automatically taken care off.And GDP growth is the true parameter of the wealth creation in the society.

Reproductive Justice and Women's Equality: There is Some Good News!

Birth is not at fertilization , it is when baby breathes the fresh air through its own lungs , then a baby is considered born.

Hence this whole issue of somebody willing to abort their baby is an absolutely personal matter and society/government  has no right to interfere with an individuals choice.

But once a baby has been actually born by breathing air through its own lungs well then society/government has every right to interfere as new baby is member of the same society.

Weight Reduction / Health is Wealth

Health is wealth is absolutely correct quote. If you are in a healthy state physically as well as mentally it is the first step towards wealth creation.

If we talk of health the best barometer to check it is your weight. If our weight is within acceptable range then  more or less we can be sure that you are in good health.

Hence weight reduction or maintaining weight within appropriate range becomes very important , particularly as a person gets older.

There are plenty of commercial program-mes available in market where you will have to spend plenty of dollars and these program mes  will promise you the moon but in the end results will be nothing.

Weight reduction depends 80% on your diet control and 20% on physical exercises .

I have followed a particular schedule and reduced my weight by more than 20-25 kg in a period of 4-5 months without spending a penny. If somebody is seriously considering weight reduction , he can follow this schedule , only requirement is that you should have self discipline.

1.Stop All alcoholic drinks , no smoking , no meat , no eggs and no milk (Preferably no animal products).
2 Drink minimum 8 glasses of fresh water everyday.
3. Exercise minimum one hour everyday either walking or stationary bicycle at a pace with which you are comfortable.
4.Only Home cooked food , avoid outside food to the extent possible.
5.Can have Tea/coffee maximum two cups a day.
6.Have three regular meals . All the meals should consist of Two pieces of bread along with a serving of cooked pulses and a service of cooked vegetables.Use Cooking Oil to the minimum extent possible in preparing  your meals.
7.In between the meals if you feel hungry feel free to eat raw fruits (any fruits) and raw vegetables .Raw vegetables can be any of the following : Tomato, cucumber, carrot, reddish, corn (Boiled )
8.Take vitamins/minerals pills on daily basis as recommended by a doctor as a dietary supplement as you are not eating any animal products.

This is weight reduction schedule as maintained by a amateur like me , but bottom line is that it has produced results for me without spending a penny from my pocket or changing my regular lifestyle in a big way.

But if we could all live into the hundreds and even beyond, what sort of world would it be? Initially it could be difficult - as life spans increase, we may be exposing ourselves to a rather bleak future in which we all spend a large proportion of our lives old and ill. And even if we conquer ageing as well, we will have some heart-wrenching moral dilemmas to face as the planet becomes progressively more overcrowded. There is a way out, though. Ifsome futurists have their way, death will be replaced by uploading ourselves onto computersMovie Camera. That will solve the overcrowding problem, no doubt, but expect a run on computer memory.
Perhaps it is only taxes that are certain after all.

Air ,water and Food we should secure these three items from any future emergency.

Humans can live/survive  without anything else but these three items are indispensable.

He managed to survive thanks to an emergency stash of rice and water, stored in an underground depot, conceived especially for this kind of case. The man complemented his diet by catching and eating the countless rats that pullulate in the mine, as well as collecting large quantities of some sort of phosphorescent moss, which constituted his only source of vitamins. Even though he was suffering from great physical and mental stress, he managed to give proper burials to all of his comrades, spending almost a year in this great selfless act. - See more at: http://worldnewsdailyreport.com/china-miner-found-alive-after-17-years-underground/#sthash.fwsjVydk.dpuf

Do You Quantum Think? You Should!

Declared Feynman: “All things are made of atoms — little particles that move around in perpetual motion, attracting each other when they are a little distance apart, but repelling upon being squeezed into one another.”

The way we view the world largely determines our experience of it.
Viewing the world from the eyes of quantum spirit is remarkable!

Most of us realize that our entire current world is dramatically changing, shrinking, equalizing, moving into new realms of being.

The transition is from Newtonian, cause and effect thinking to Quantum holistic thinking. Huge change, Humongous! Trans-personal.

With these new paradigms comes expanded consciousness, clearer perception, greater perspective, unlimited bliss, significant new levels of creativity and multi-dimensional intuition.

Quantum thinking addresses the issues of pain, disease, mental, physical, financial and emotional challenges being things of the past.

The entry of spirit into our lives and the new currency of the coming age will be, intuitive understanding and intention application.

With quantum thinking, the mind is experientially understood as being bigger than in the body, the entanglement of atoms become trans personally en-trained, oneness and the sensational applications of that are energetically integrated, plus the nature of multi-dimensional intuitive gateways becomes newly available.

With Quantum thinking the ease of manifestation from the quantum state is a permanent transcendence.

Along with organic happiness, easy manifestation and unconditional love becomes the norm.

Isn't that what we're all looking for? Both to give and get...

Why India Will Soon Outpace China - Forbes

Why India Will Soon Outpace China - Forbes

A working/representative  democracy is the best bet for a sustainable economic growth of a country , because it automatically contains the necessary checks and balances to keep a country on a steady path of growth  without any major shocks.

It may seem to grow like a tortoise , but view it over a longer period it will beat the hare that is for sure.

-  Despite slowing, China’s economy is still growing at a much faster clip than India’s.
- But that may be about to change with signs that India’s economy has bottomed while China faces serious downside risks.
- With inflation falling in India, interest rates there are set to drop and this, combined with a new, business-friendly government, should provide the impetus for the next business investment cycle.
- For a long time, India’s decentralised economic model has been viewed as inferior to China’s authoritarian, top-down model. A reappraisal of that view may soon be in order.

This is not a bad idea , private sector is the most efficient user of capital , government cannot compete with them on this count. So if government  is providing subsidy for job creation , why not pass on that subsidy to private sector which creates the jobs as per norms fixed by government .Because they will use that subsidy amount in much more efficient way then what any government can do.

Job creation should be priority no. 1 -10 for any government worth its salt.If they can do it successfully so many other social , economic, political problems will be automatically taken care off.

For textile boss Dhingra, a smart - if self-interested - solution would be for the state to subsidies his full-time staff rather than pay the rural poor to do 100 days work a year.
"Why don't you consider connecting these 100 days to labor-intensive industries?" he told Reuters, volunteering to pay the wage bill for the other 265 days of the year.

"Our labor costs come down and we provide permanent work for the people. It's a win-win situation."

Big may not be better for most countries - FT.com

Big may not be better for most countries - FT.com

If defense is a priority and trade is restricted Big Nation has an advantage .

But in 21st century both these conditions will vanish , hence chances of Smaller nations succeeding will increase.
The US continues to benefit from its scale. In other countries, though, the advantages of bigness have waned. Big countries have a leg-up when defence is the top public-spending priority (because they can afford more of it) and when trade is restricted (because big nations have large internal markets). But neither of those conditions holds now. In fact, the world has been rebuilt according to small countries’ dreams. “Smallness tends to encourage openness,” Prof Barro wrote, because small states must trade to survive.

Don't ever let a negative thought get into your mind replace it with the most positive that you can ever think of

There are some people who seem to get everything they want in life. They hardly struggle or complain, and there is a good reason for that; they know that those two behaviors are not self-serving, so they don't do them.

Anyone who has ever experienced the life of their dreams will tell you that you cannot focus on what you don't want and still get what you do want.

In other words, you have to be focused on positive things in order to attract positive things into your life.

There is no more denying the truth that positive thinking is essential to overcoming challenges and getting what you want in life.

The great minds have always preached positive thinking, but now research is backing up their claims and a new field of study has emerged, called positive psychology, which is furthering the research to discover just how far positive thinking can take us.

For now we know that relationships, career, mental health, and physical health all improve when positive thinking is involved.

Why? Because positive people are more likely to participate in healthy behaviors. Moreover, they can cope with all kinds of stress more effectively.

Are you worried that you will never be able to think positively and reap the benefits? Are you stuck in the deep end of negativity? Not everyone can see the light at the end of the tunnel.

The truth is that some people experience negative life events which makes positive thinking a challenge. For some people, there seems to be so much to be negative in their life that it becomes all they can focus on.

But, the good news is that everyone has the ability to overcome their past and develop the skill of positive thinking to benefit their future.

The first step is to eliminate negative thoughts as soon as they appear. When one enters your mind, consciously replace it with a positive thought.

The positive thought will be unique to you, but is should be something that makes you feel better - even if it is slightly better.

Your positive thought should remove hate, anger, and sadness and replace them with kindness, acceptance, and the desire to keep moving towards your ultimate life.

Do this and you will be on your way to incorporating habitual positive thinking in your life.

Here's The Most Remarkable Thing About The Universe, According To Bill Nye

Here's The Most Remarkable Thing About The Universe, According To Bill Nye

The whole thing puts me in awe when you start talking about the Big Bang. But as Einstein said, perhaps the most remarkable thing about the universe is that we can understand it at all, that we can make any sense out of it, is really amazing. I mean we’re these animals running around on this planet and we can understand that. What is the nature of consciousness? What is the nature of your mind? What goes on that I have a mind? I’d say I have a mind. It seems like I have a mind. You know, I speak with dogs frequently. They don’t really talk, but I feel they’re communicating. I just don’t think that they’ve asked these questions. But still they have emotions--they’re happy, they’re sad, they’re tired, they’re energetic in ways like people, but I don’t think they’ve asked a lot of questions. I don’t think they do a lot of calculus, not formally anyway.

Role of HR in 21 st century Business Enterprises

Well to tell you very frankly I am not a big fan of HR department.Only job where they provide value addition is to do the job of Talent scouting for the  company.

But with LinkedIn and other social networking sites coming in , I think they can take care of this talent scouting job for a company in future very well , we still do not know how effective big data can be.

Once the talent is in the company , I do not think HR has much role to play . It is the job of Line managers like CEO,COO,CMO,CFO,CIO to run the business and they will do fine whether HR exists or not.
